  • What are the MecFax requirements?
    PSTN + Power + LAN. You just need to plug the 3 cables in MecFax.
  • Why can't I login into the MecFax web interface?
    Please check the IP address of mecFAX from the LED panel and make sure the LAN cable is connected firmly and the 100M LED light is on.
  • Why can't I send and receive fax?
    Please check if the PSTN is working properly and is connected with the 'Line' port.
  • How can I check incoming faxes when I am out of the office?
    Please enable the "Fax2email" option from your account management.
  • Can other users see my faxes? How can I set a fax document as private?
    Public faxes can be opened by every user. To make them private, you have to set the mecFAX fax routing options
  • What are the differences between the S series and the non-S series?
    The S series supports the Super G3 V.34 fax speed standard and the JBIG fax compression. A fax machine supporting the Super G3 standard can communicate at top speed only with other machines who support the same standard. Otherwise, the fax transmission speed will adjust to the slower fax machine.
  • How many fax ports does MecFax support?
    The MecFax network fax server supports 1, 2 or 4 ports per server.
  • Can I send faxes over the Internet?
    Yes, the MecFax network fax server supports Internet fax delivery using the most common browsers. MecFax servers also support a fax2email functionality to send fax via e-mail.
  • What are my options for receiving faxes?
    There are a number of mecFAX inbound fax options. Inbound faxes can be redirected directly to an extension number or to a user e-mail address.
  • What are the monitoring/tracking capabilities of the MecFax?
    Our software allows the monitoring of the inbound fax progress from the moment of arrival on the MecFax server until the delivery to the internal recipient. Our software keeps a log of every event.
