MecFax network fax server Fax2Email function automatically converts received faxes into a TIFF image or PDF file and forward them to one or more e-mail addresses.
When a fax is sent to your fax number, it's automatically converted into a TIFF or PDF, attached to an e-mail and delivered to one or more e-mail addresses, according to the MecFax settings. As an attachment, the fax can be opened by any application capable of reading TIFF or PDF files. There's no need of a new fax number: just use your existing fax number.
How does it work?
- A remote fax is sent from a fax machine by calling the user's fax number
- The call is answered by MecFax network fax server and then transmitted to MecFax
- Once the trasmission has ended, MecFax converts the fax into a TIFF image or a PDF file
- MecFax attaches the file to an e-mail and sends it to the appointed e-mail addresses
- The e-mail arrives in the users' inboxes
- The user can now open the attachment (TIFF or PDF image) containing the fax
